# Write and publish a post

Draft in the editor, then publish now or schedule.

Open **Posts** and create a new post. It stays a draft until you publish it.

Select **Publish** when the post is ready. It goes live on your blog right away. To publish later, open the menu next to the button, choose **Schedule…**, and pick a date and time. After you publish, the button reads **Update**, and the same menu lets you **Unpublish** the post.
